Lets say a bug's limbs are entangled. He is hit by an additional attack that usually would damage those entagled limbs. Does the attack do no damage or does it hit elswhere.

Just my 2 cents but under 6.4 & 6.7 I believe the damage goes to the next unentangled limb pair down. If all the limbs are entangled then the abdomen is hit, which causes dexterity loss (usually).

If the abdomen is entangled at all (it seems it can be entangled twice) I take that to mean it can't be used, same as with appendages, but will still take damage.

Actually I notice there is an errata that changes the rule so that the hits are taken on "dexterity" instead of the "abdomen". I guess this addresses the issue of damaging bugs that have a calcareous shell for an abdomen.

Another situation, if I may pick your brains...

If an entangled insect (all appendages) is hit with poison - is this possible?

The normal damage is taken on dexterity, does this mean that poison damage also goes on dexterity?

I am inclined to think so, as I would expect poison to take hold, even if the limbs are entangled.

Anyone care to confirm or disagree?

Thank you.

Yes, I'd certainly agree with that. Seems like the quintessential spider tactic.
Looking at the rules again, they state that the poison damage is taken against instinct if the head is hit, but otherwise onto dexterity... and I'd apply the damage regardless of entanglement.

Good luck in the hive!

Of course... why didn't I think of that reasoning... modest

Thanks.
