If one could land a cheap version of Clash for a Continent, would it be worth it based upon the current availability of the "sequel", Hold the Line?

I have heard that the main differences are:

1. Minor rule tweaks.
2. WAY better counters with Hold the Line.
3. Different scenarios.

How big of a difference are the new counters in Hold the Line? Are they that much better to avoid buying Clash?

Likewise, which set of scenarios is better?

Clash for a Continent had stickers on thin wooden counters:

Hold the Line had die-cut counters, with improved art:

Note that CfaC was essentially the equivalent of both HtL and the HtL expansion, French and Indian Wars, combined. If you can get CfaC at a good price, I'd say go for it. You could probably pick up For Honor and Glory: War of 1812 Land and Naval Battles too, and that stuff would match what you get in Clash.

If what you're after is strictly play value, there's no real difference worth worrying about.

Ya if you can pick it up cheap it is worth it, but HtL can be found pretty cheap as well and is much prettier IMO.

The other difference between the two games is that they have a different set of scenarios
