There are some rather racy elements to the game, not the least of which is that part of the game is to identify the hanky codes, and even just reading them, let alone explaining them, are definitely adult sexual concepts.
Hanky codes? I'm gonna have to look that up somewhere (yes, perhaps I should get out more).
Waaaaaaaaaay back in the free-wheeling, post-sexual revolution, pre-AIDS 70's, sex was a lot more liberal. Hanky codes were a way to visually display what you were looking for. There were a wide range of colors and patterns that corresponded to everything from kissing and cuddling to, er, far more explicit, kinky and raunchy stuff. Depending on the color of the hanky and which back pocket you wore it in, it told everyone looking what you were interested in doing, and made cruising and picking up ostensibly a lot easier. Of course in the 80's the entire LGBT community changed a LOT, and for the most part the hanky codes faded out, although you'll sometimes still see folks in the leather/S&M community wearing them, even if just as part of their "look."
So that was more than you needed to know about gay history.
It's 18 and up for the obvious reason that any child exposed to a game like this has an ENORMOUS chance of converting to the gay lifestyle. Thank goodness somebody was thinking of the children(s) for once.
