Hi,

I've played Gonzaga with my 5 and a half years old son, using simplified versions of the rules.

Very simple version:
Don't use secret goal card,
Don't use the king card,
Don't count sea leagues,
Don't use rings,
Use the full map, without distinction between active and inactive country

Simple version:
Don't use secret goal card,
Don't use the king card,
Don't use rings,

Adding some more rules only on the maps, kept the game mechanism simple, adding some more fun to the game.

Not so simple version:

The last step was start using rings and the king card. This version is really similar to the full one because the secret card add just a little more uncertainty to the final result.

Nick.

I'm a feder-allergic and I blame the Klingon for not having smashed the Federation in time to save us from Star Trek serials.
