Re: Heroes of Graxia v1.0 Manual released
Nice rules, so much smaller than I was expecting from what looked like a complicated card game.
This game looks pretty interesting, when I saw you could attack each other I was a bit worried but with the rule of one attack per round per player it looks like players have to spread their attacks out.
Does the game come with turn summary cards? (showing what stuff you can do on your turn and what costs an action)

There are not any summary cards established, though you can see each other's hands if you want, and the costs of an action are laid out on the board as you move along gameplay.

Questions:
1.) What is the value of the miniatures in Heroes of Graxia? They make sense for Guardians, but they don't really seem to have any purpose in Heroes.
2.) There is very little information about Guardians, but I do notice that it seems to have 240 cards and 6 minis, the same as Heroes. How are the two related and is Heroes simply a subset of what will be in the Guardians box?

Can you really take two mulligans EVERY turn? It seems fine at the beginning of the game, but every turn seems like a mechanic that could slow down the game, and make the potentially unbalanced cards come up quite a bit more often, making them more powerful.

Hi Marshall!
1.) The miniatures don't provide any strategic importance, simply clarity and a nice bonus to the game's concept .
2.) Heroes of Graxia is much more than any sort of subset of Guardians of Graxia. While they share the Graxia world and similar card designs, they really are two separate games... one being a board game and one being a deck-building card game for starters.
* Huge multiplayer (and PvP!) potential with 2-6 player capability.
* As with Guardian of Graxia, Heroes of Graxia has unique cards in addition to ones that are similar to those in the other Graxia games.

Hey guys! We use miniature Heroes to be placed on top of players Loot Decks. The Hero is placed on the Loot Deck to signify his kills and Prestige points that he has received from killing opposing legions.
To put it simply, the Heroes are the Guardians. The story of these Heroes/Guardians all tie together between the two board games, Heroes of Graxia and Guardians of Graxia. The Heroes of Graxia board game takes place in the beginning of the world of Graxia when there was poor if not any leadership among the races in Graxia.
Without giving too much info about the storyline, Heroes in Graxia arose and seized power as leaders in the world of Graxia and started to build up their armies of all races that would join them. In Heroes of Graxia the player builds up a deck of armies, henchmen, mercenaries, spells, etc to achieve victory.
In the board game Guardians of Graxia, the Heroes have become Guardians and each are powerful with large followings of different races and knowledge of spells.
I hope this information helped explain the difference between the two games and the purpose of the Heroes/Guardians.

Hi guys,
would the manual be available in a more "printer friendly" format, say A4 or Letter? Or at least in a "page" form, not the 4-page strip format?

Thx Matthew, however I meant a manual that is even more split up than your A4 PDF.
I decided to try and successfully just made a version that is 8 square pages long - basically cut the 2 pages in the official manual into four quarters and having two columns each. This way it can be printed on an A4 with bigger lettering for easier reading.
The question now is (to whoever can approve) if I can upload this version to BGG?

Perhaps they're a little too concise - it's become evident that a number of clarifications have subsequently become necessary as a result of numerous questions about the rules. Hopefully in due time we'll see a complete rules re-write that improves the rulebook.
Kamakaze wrote: Does the game come with turn summary cards? (showing what stuff you can do on your turn and what costs an action) None come with the game unfortunately, and this would have been a good addition. Meanwhile, there is a very useful player aid you can print out here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/filepage/59364/heroes-of-graxia...

The miniatures don't really have a function in the game (putting them on top of your `loot pile' is hardly essential), and are primarily of aesthetic value. Still, they look pretty cool, and help add to the theme, so one can hardly complain about having them thrown in as an additional bonus!
