Fireball Island came out in 1986. If you count every single year from then to now (1986-2010) that makes 25. Good enough for me! Welcome to the Fireball Island 25th Anniversary Edition Celebration!!!

The Fireball Island: 25th Anniversay Edition package I have put together includes:
- A fully defined rulebook of the classic rules (includes timing breakdowns and other rules not described in the original rulebook, like doubling your roll when in a cave and then entering a new cave!)
YOU WILL NEVER HAVE AN ARGUMENT ABOUT THE RULES EVER AGAIN!!!
- Team rules for an insane 2-on-2 expedition for the jewel
- And lastly 16 character cards and the rules for using them. If they are used the basic gameplay remains exactly the same, but your strategy will have to change depending on what character you are and what characters you are up against! Each character is a generic stereotype, but the image for each character is represented with art of a famous person in that role! Great fun!

I will post all of this on the boardgamegeek Fireball Island page in the FILES section in a few days. Below please enjoy one of the 16 character card images I have created.

Please share your thoughts here, it will encourage me to post my work even faster. Thank you.

Here's to another 25 years of FIREBALL ISLAND!!!

Are these in the rules or a special rule for the "25th anniversary edition"?

Quote:
As soon as a player captures the jewel, the player with the jewel must always move towards the Dock with it (the player cannot go into a cave and must take the High Road, unless they are in the Low Road smolder pit).

While in a smolder pit, you cannot roll, move, play cards, or place your token back on Witchlord Step!

The dark gray spaces and black smolder pits are not affected by rolling Fireballs and are considered safe spaces.

The jewel rule is not a rule from the original game. However I have played this game with and without this rule since the game came out (yes back in 1986 as a kid I saw that this game needed this rule). Playing this game without this rule can greatly increase playtime if you are playing with a jerkoff. I honestly believe this probably was an actual rule for the game that Hasbro just didn't put into the rulebook because they forgot/didn't really think about it. Because playing this game without this rule can become a tiresome experience. I back tracked the whole island once with the jewel, it changing hands back and forth all the way to Dead man's Plateau. That was just stupid and no one had fun.

Also a real jerk can get the jewel then just go into a cave and not come out. The game is a stalemate at that point. Ridiculous.

The rule for doubling your next roll when moving to a new cave was not put into the rulebook, so the precedent is already there for Hasbro forgetting to put rules into the rulebook.

Forcing the player with the jewel to move ahead greatly speeds up playtime. While really fun this sort of a game should not be a 90ish minute long marathon.

Cool, thanks for the clarifications and thanks for sharing the fun character cards you created as well!
