Numerous EcoFluxx cards use the phrases "in play" and/or "on the table." Are these meanings equivalent? If not, what do they mean?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, "in play" means "on the table in front of you."

Andy,
Thanks again for responding, and many thanks for the Fluxx series. My siblings and I love it, and I've gotten some of my students addicte-- er, I mean, I've introduced it to some students.
We decided to try to get your input on the original question because it was unclear. It didn't help that Pollution reads, "If Air, Water, or Dirt are in play on the table, they are immediately discarded."
My original question was prompted mostly by the card Camouflage, so I'd like to make sure that I've got this interpretation correct. Camouflage reads, in part, "While hidden in this way, the card is treated as if it isn't in play." This means that a camouflaged keeper cannot be stolen, wealth-shared, extincted, mixed-all-up, population-crashed, traded, exchanged, trashed, mass-migrated, part of a win, or counted toward a keeper limit, nor would placing a keeper face-down in front of you count as a play. (In fact, couldn't it be placed there not even during your turn? Surely not.... right?)

Whoops... "surely not" must be right, as Camouflage also reads in part, "During your turn, you may 'hide' 1 of your Keepers..."
