So what do people do if they don't have the core set? How do you guys represent tokens? I have a bunch of glass bead type things I use for Warmachine in blue and red, but is there a better alternative?

Officially this was never meant to be a standalone game, was it? For the tokens you can use whatever you want. There is no additional functionality beyond the marking of quantity.

No, it's an expansion. I was just wondering what others might do as far as tokens go. Then again, i'm probably one of the only people who doesn't plan to buy the core set first.

Also use different colored glass beads or look for a player that has the original tokens to play against.

Coins of different value could also be used as substitutes.

My buddy has the core box, but if we decide to do a game with more than two players we'd fast run out of tokens.
