The game is kind of like a 4-way tug of war for the briefcase. Without the 4th person to pull, the person in the middle can have an easier job since there's no one pulling on the opposite side. On the other hand, if both opponents recognize this, they can both push away from the guy in the middle.

I like the game a lot, but my biggest issue with it is that the game can legitimately end in a stalemate.

Just played it for the first time yesterday. We played three consecutive games a 4P, 3P and a 4P (one guy came in, stepped out and then another guy came in).

As long as the edge guys account for the middle guy's board advantage, its not a big deal. Kind of like I doubt that there is much of a first turn advantage, though I suspect that in a perfect world there would be.
