My word, this is a much lamented set of rules, isn't it?

The Zoch edition English rules are not as bad as some of the others, by the looks of things, but they make no mention at all (as far as I can tell) of resolving the flock, which is a common topic around here.

Should I assume that the Zoch rules are playable as they stand?

I believe that's because that version uses a board, whereas resolving is done to keep the flock together when there isn't a board.

Blimey - surely it's a completely different game on a board?

Publishers know how to complicate things, don't they?

Yes - there is no flock resolution in the Zoch version. Sheep may be separated from the flock, and are limited to the board (and its edges) for movement.

I haven't found the rules that difficult to follow. Mind you, I did watch the Games with Scott video first.

I turned my Zoch copy into the "original" and like these rules more, but I see the approach of Zoch to make the game more "family friendly".

I play like Daniel, and I agree with him. When playing with pro gamer I use the older rules (no board, flock rules etc. but I have print the scoretrack on my own) whereas with newbies I prefer to use the Zoch rules&game.
