My family plays a LOT of Frank's Zoo. It is by leaps and bounds our most played game. Everyone enjoys it, from grandparents down through cousins.
With a couple of hundred hands under my belt, I just today noticed this about the cards: the land animals have a brown border around the pictures of animals that beat them, the sea animals have a blue border, and the "amphibious" animals (e.g. the crocodile, seal, and polar bear) have a half-blue, half-brown border.
No biggie -- I'm just amused I could play so many hands without noticing this.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since it took me several dozen hands to realize that the small animal icons in the left and right top corners of each card are for fanning purposes -- i.e. so you can fan your cards and still see what is in your hand. So I guess I am not the most observant guy.
(By contrast, I got the point of the icons on the mosquito, lion, and hedgehog cards right away.)
