Today I played my first two games of Day and Night.
I played Day in both games. The first game was mainly to learn the game and to become familar with the spells. It took me some time to understand the differences between the two decks.
In the second game that became even clearer to me. We started the usual way building our tiles and trying to change the enemies deck. Soo Night had an advantage because Night can change tiles cheap also when Night is on a Night tile. The strong Day spells need Night to be on a day tile. After Night builded it first temple I changed by strategy. I tried to stop Night by building strategic mystified tiles. That went rather well and I was able to build my own first temple. Another strategy I used was to move black to the opposite corner of the board. For the powerful spells Night needs to be in the area of the tiles. I also found the one spell extremely helpful, where I can change all surrounding tiles to white when Night is on a day tile. That strategy is risky, because I allowed Night to build a some tiles and than I tried to change them with that spell. It's risky because the was to build the second temple for Night is always short and I didn't know Nights spells.
But I was sucesfull and with changing 5 surrounding tiles to my second temple I won.
We had an entertaining evening with Day and Night.
