I found a old thread about Medusa, but somehow, even if I reply back to it, the thread wont come back to the main MN Expansion page, so I guess noone will see my post there.... therefor I will make a new thread about Medusa.

The English medusa card says: "Once per round, you can prohibit all combat in a single province where you have units (announced before rolling the dice)"

As I understand the card, I can wait until someone attacks me, and then say that I prohibit combat in that province and there will be no combat in that entire military phase.

That will make this hero extremely powerful when used by a defensive nation, for example Egypt, but would also be extremely powerful when being for example atlantis, as the kraken could do a attack on the other end of the board, and Medusa could just keep the province at peace until the end of the game.

I see that someone has uploaded a file explaining the heros, and in that file it says "Once per round, you can prohibit all combat in a single province where you have units (announced at start of Military Phase before any rolling of dice)"

What is the general understanding of the card should be used ?

Can Medusa wait until someone attacks and prohibit all combat, or do you guys say that she has to annouce it when starting military phase ? Does the prohibition last the entire military phase, or is just against one opponent, so that another nation can attack that province.
Can she prohibit combat in a province that already is at war ? and do you have to rule that province ?
