So (+X) indicates Conquest Tokens CT for the heroes, [+X] indicates CT for the overlord.
We're playing with all expansions.
At beginning of session:
CONQUEST TOKENS: Heroes: 6, OL: 2/2; Total:8

Landrec the Wise: Sunburst, Tunic, Ghost Armor, 1 FP
Tahlia: Axe, Chainmail
Kirga: Crossbow, Iron Shield, Leather Armor (Staff of the Grave) (Screaming Eagle Staff)
Zyla: Hammer, Wizard's Robe, 1 FP
Heroes have ca. 1375 gold

OL Avatar: Demon Prince XP: 2/2
Plot: Obsidian Shackles
OL Upgrades: Sir Alric (at Nekerhall), Toughened, Soul Barrier and Focused
House Rules:

Divine Power: this was voted on and everyone was on the same page.
Kirga Spawn Prevention: I showed the huge long thread of how Kirga’s ability works and Steve (OL) was not happy with it. He offered the house rule to how it to the open 2, where it is a radius of 5 not going through walls.

Week 2
Overlord gains conquest [1]

Sir Alric Farrow moves towards Greyhaven.

The party travels to Thelsvan Highway (1) without any encounter. #4 The Bridge of Death. After setting up, Steve and I were puzzled, because we didn’t see any kind of pits. We were thinking if we couldn’t get a ruling on this map, we would just have to redraw. We posted on the boards and got the answer we needed (I had purchased the game and all the expansions as a package deal, so I was not aware of all the pieces. Thank you all for your quick responses, as we finally figured out how it was played). Steve learning from last week spread the monsters out. He chose the option with 2x Sorcerer’s 3x Razorwing, 1x Master Razorwing and of course the boss. After a very easy math check, I offered to activate the glyph on the first turn (3) and told everyone else to go back to town to heal up and buy stuff and then on the next turn we could come in from the activated glyph and not worry about the pit/bridge. Landrec and Tahlia were low on health, so he went to the Temple to heal for 5, while Kirga went to the market to find Ripper & Shadowblade. Both were purchased. The OL then activated, and spawned some Shades, and tried to hit me with them and the sorcerer’s. Steve then ran away with the boss, which we felt was a good choice tactically. 2nd turn was Zyla running to a treasure chest, where no treasure was found (1), but we got a fatigue potion for Zyla. Meanwhile the rest of the team came in guns a’ blazin’ taking advanced and battle actions to take out 3ish monsters. The OL saw his chance and used a "Rage" card to attack twice; hoping he would knockback Tahlia twice, on the second knockback Tahlia would go into the pit for the automatic kill. The first kmockback roll was missed, so it was a lost cause, and the boss went after someone else. The rest of the dungeon was trivial, we did not take too much damage, we picked up both coin piles, killed the Master Razorwing and the Boss (2) then started heading towards the portal, normally Zyla would have done it, but she was low on health 3 or 4, so she went and healed at the Temple, while Landrec went to the market and purchased the Ring of Protection, Wizard’s Robe, The Staff of the Wild, and Morningstar to pass to Tahlia. Kirga picked up 2 more potions, Fatigue and Power potion. We didn’t want to keep handing the OL more threat, so Tahlia finally went into the portal.

Heroes +7xp - 13 Total
OL +1xp - 3/3 Total

Onto #22 The Citadel: This is where there are hallways and if you are in there, the OL can spend 10 threat to make an attack against you as a Master Giant without special abilities. 5 threat if the boss is killed. It is the largest map we have seen so far. We elect to do run actions to try not to give the OL more threat and cards. On our 2nd or 3rd turn, I try to fake out the OL by having our whole team, going for the glyph, killing the boss and then exiting. I was going to take Zyla up north to get the chest. The OL had a plan for that though and turned me into a monkey, we got another potion and Minor Healing, which Zyla took (we will have to redraw this as I forgot that this item is not in campaigns; I am sure Steve will be glad to hear this). The following turn, Skeleton party was spawn, which killed Zyla and there was some damage done to the rest of the party. The boss was positioned for being destroyed (2), we were ecstatic. What happened next was something we completely forgot about. Tahlia and Landrec were both in the hallways, the OL spent over 25 threat attacking 5 times to kill them (now this was a mistake on our part forgetting, but I also think it was a mistake because we used just normal dungeon hallways; I think there are different colored ones to help us remember, either way, it was our fault). Steve (OL) was very happy as he finally got a non-Zyla kill, which netted him [5] for Tahlia, with her cursed weapon and [4] for Landrec with his cursed weapon and a curse from killing the Master Dark Priest from the dungeon in the previous week. Kirga then runs to the Glyph (3) so then everyone can come in at the forward one, rather than at the rear. We went into town while someone activated the portal and ended there.

Heroes +5xp - 18 Total
OL +10 xp - 13/13/Total

We ended the night as it was getting close to 2am, but the week would still continue at #65 The Butcher’s Kitchen.

At end of session:
CONQUEST TOKENS: Heroes: 18, OL: 13/13; Total: 31

Player 1 Landrec the Wise: {Spirit Walker] Staff of the Grave, Wizard’s Robe, Ring of Protection, Ghost Armor (Sunburst) (Morning Star) 12/12 W 5/5 F; 1 Fatigue Potion, 1 Power Potion

Player 2 Tahlia: {Weapons Mastery}; Shadowblade, Chain Mail, (Axe) 12/16 W 2/3 F, 1 Power Potion

Player 3 Kirga: {Eagle Eye}; Ripper, Leather Armor (Crossbow) (Iron Shield) 16/16 W 3/3 F, 1 Power Potion

Player 4 Zyla: {Skilled} Hammer, Wizard’s Robe (Screaming Eagle Staff) 8/8 W 5/7 F,

Heroes at on Dungeon 3 Thelsvan Highway. They have 1,150 gold and Staff of the Wild.

OL Avatar: Demon Prince XP: 13/13
Plot: Obsidian Shackles
OL Upgrades: Sir Alric (at Grehaven), Toughened, Soul Barrier and Focused

Comments: Boy oh Boy, it would have been so nice not to have a brain fart and have the OL be at only 4xp, but it was our mistake. The good thing is, we will be heading into dungeon 3 with no power cards played and the OL with 6 threat and 8 cards in hand. I think Steve played very smart though given our awesome group. His tactics were very cunning. He definitely spread things out, so we couldn’t aoe as much. His attacks were smart; his baiting us with the boss sorcerer so that the attacks would cost 5 threat in 10 was brilliant on his part. We have a very good chance at finishing up the 3rd level, with nearly everyone at full wounds. I REALLY don’t want to give the OL any more xp, but it should this level looks relatively easy for us. Zyla can at least run for the glyph.

I think the party has got incredibly lucky with our treasure draws though from the market at least. We now have Staff of the Grave, Screaming Eagle Staff, Shadowblade, Ripper and another treasure that has yet to be drawn in place of Minor Healing. Landrec will pass the Morning Star to Tahlia to do an enormous amount of damage, any overflow will cause the OL to lose threat.

Next week we will see what happens with dungeon 3 and go onto week 3. The OL has some choices now that he has some xp, so I am interested in what he does in week 3. I find it funny that Kirga has yet to be touched, although the OL has tried, it ends up being short, or Feat cards are played to prevent it. Looking forward to week 3, while we are still in week 2 dungeon 3, we are thinking of either purchasing the guide, to be able to roll more dice, so we can do encounters (I know this sounds dumb, but with our group and current weapons, I think it will provide us a good net return) or save up for skills, what are your thoughts?
