I have a two year girl who loves to play games with daddy (even if she can't understand them). Having read all the great reviews for this kid's game, I decided to pre-order the reprint I hoped would happen. I got an e-mail today which states the game has been discontinued. I have seen this game on Amazon and the like, but I'm not going to spend $150 on a game.
I am a bit surprised considering the attention this game has garnered and the lack of quality kid's games. What gives?
I've pasted the e-mail body below:

According to just-released news that our warehouse has received from our
distributors, Rio Grande Games has now discontinued Gulo Gulo,
unfortunately. We will not be re-stocking this title, and we do regret
any inconvenience this may cause. You may still be able to find a copy of this title elsewhere, but those places that still have copies in stock are asking quite a pretty penny for them.
Considering the above information, we will now cancel and refund your
order without further delay. Your refund will be processed within the
next couple of business days and, once complete, you will then receive an e-mail confirmation including the transaction details for your review.

Maybe you could check with the game stores in your area? They might have one sitting on the shelf. I got lucky at my FLGS about 2 months ago, I saw a copy of Gulo Gulo on the shelf covered in dust.

Copies of the original Zoch version are still for sale on various German sites. Shipping will be a pain but you are only talking about €35 for the game itself.

I recently acquired a copy of this via trade but before the trade I had sent off an email to Jay at Rio Grande about a reprint and his exact response was "We hope to reprint next year." This was sent to me last week so I'm assuming thats still the plan. So here's hoping Jay comes through with a reprint to bring down the prices to a more reasonable level for the people still looking for this.

Agreed. The current secondary market prices are far too insane to be reasonable. There is obviously a demand though if the secondary market prices are what they are.

to my knowledge you cant. it can only be purchased direct from the event center.

Wow did I get lucky today. I visited a new game store, while out of state and found a new sealed copy of Gulo Gulo on the shelf for $35.00. I almost fainted when I saw it. Unfortunately it was the last copy or I would of bought more, so there may still be some out there somewhere.

I actually got this for my 5 year old son for Christmas. I was so excited given how scarce this seems to be. He is currently using it as a ramp for one of his RC toys. go figure, I tried....
