The winner of my last two games scored 40 (4 players) and 42 (5 players) points respectively. What are the average winning scores?

I checked everyone's listed plays. Apparently, no one obsessively posts scores like I do. I went back to my two plays in April (we borrowed the game from our club) and found that I had scored 17 to win during both plays. (These were both 2 player games with the wife.)
I found a four player game in February, that had a winning score of 38.

I've only seen one person (myself) wrap the board once.
It depend on the number of players (more players higher score). And higher winning scores don't necessarily mean better play, because some games are easier to make money than others depending on what people are doing. Letting everybody make money easier isn't necessarily better play.
