I just picked up the Last Night on Earth Hero Pack 1, which comes with the Hunt for Survivors scenario. In the scenario, it is possible to come across brand new Heroes/Zombie Heroes without one of your existing Heroes dying first. Two fairly inconsequential questions followed by one that could affect gameplay:

* Who controls a newly found Hero? Assume the player who found that hero...?

* Who controls a newly found Zombie Hero if there are two Zombie players? Do they just flip a coin for it?

Last but not least, the more important question:

* Since this is a scenario where Heroes Replenish, if a newly found Hero dies, is a replacement Hero drawn? Or do you just go back down from five Heroes (four standard + one bonus) to four Heroes (four standard with no bonus)?

Thanks!

Zombie players in other variants trade control of zombie heroes/grave dead, with green zombie getting odd turns and brown zombie getting even turns, or vice versa

It makes sense to have the person who found the new hero to control that hero.

In the Growing Hunger rulebook, pg. 8, the new hero is not replaced in Black Zone or because of Hero Replenish. The hero also doesn't get to do anything the same turn found, but don't have to fight any zombies either. However, this rule pertains to Exploration Markers, but I don't know of any other rules involving a 5th hero brought on midgame.

In other threads the view is that the new human hero gets a turn if he/she is placed during the human turn.

So:
Hero A is killed during fight phase of human turn
Hero B is placed on the board per new hero rules, and is allowed a full turn.

Right, that's for normal Hero Replenish and Black Zone. If you refer to pg. 8 of the GH rulebook, this 5th hero is the exception to that rule, if you assume that revealing the 5th hero is like flipping over the New Hero exploration marker.

Thanks for the replies. It's been a long time since I've read the GH rules, and I hadn't thought to look there for this answer. I would assume that that the rules for "New Heroes" markers carries over in this situation as well.
