We played a few three handed games of Frank's Zoo. We used a simple variant: deal out all cards in four hands. One hand is not used and not seen. This works very well. I got the idea from Poison.

We just played our first game of this with 3 players and it was pretty fun but we did comment on the fact that 20 cards in your hand was alot to keep track of. Hopefully later tonight we can get a 4 or 5 player game in but the next time we play with 3 we will deal a 4th hand and see how it goes. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks. It actually scales pretty well from three (with my variant) to six players. I think five is the best, especially with the full ruleset.
