The Major Corporation (pictured below) lets you gain additional goods of the type you already have. If you gain steel, it costs you 3 additional coin. If the card is owned by a player, are those additional coins payed to the owner of the card or to supply?

I would play that you pay 3 francs to the owner for moving in, and 3 francs to the bank if you take steel, just like when you use someones bakery you pay the energy back to the supply, not to the owner.

Card costs are totally separate from card benefits. You pay the owner the cost in the corner to use the card.

After that, everything is between you and bank, regardless of card (unless there's a specific card that says pay the owner, can't think of one).

Yup, I totally said to the others that the money goes to the bank, not the owner, but they didn't listen. And I lost by 4 points.... With 7 loans...

Not bitter at all...

Edited: I completely miscounted the number of loans I had. While I had 7 loan cards, I actually had 21 loans and lost by quite a bit.

For the record, what happened was that there were like four turns in a row in which the other players did the things I wanted and bought the buildings I was trying to get and I went on what poker players call tilt. I stopped caring about food and only tried to obtain what few buildings were left.

I do not recommend that strategy.

The "additional 3 coins" may indeed be confusing as one might really think they refer to the entry fee, but they do not. You pay these additional 3 coins to the bank and not a player.

It's also clarified here from the very first moment I posted about the Le Grand Hameau cards: GH28 Major Corporation

What a useful list. I've added a link to it to the More Information section of the Le Havre page. Thanks.
