F.I.T.S. Review ( Fun In Timely Spurts )
Gist of the Game
All you do in FITS is to try and use the tetris like pieces to fill in as many spaces as you can. The pieces come out in a certain sequential order, so you can’t just put them in like what a baby would do.
There are 4 stages in total. And in each stage, your task will change somewhat, but mainly it still revolves around placing the pieces in a different fashion. After each stage you tally up your score, and the winner is the person who has the highest total after all 4 stages.
Components
I love the pieces that come in FITS. They are sturdy, durable, and nice to the touch. The playing stand however could have been better improved (quality wise), but overall it does it job well and it is about as compact as it can be considering it also houses the pieces for each player.
And in case you are wondering, the pieces do slide somewhat down the ramp. It isn’t super smooth but you will get a kick out of it. You will find your friends sliding it down when in actual fact, they don’t really have to. (I’m not sure if it’s a thing they do cost hey are used to playing tetris or if its something they just find fun doing)
The boards they use for the different stages are also very hard and durable. In fact, I wish they released all the expansions that way instead of having to print it yourself. It just doesn’t feel the same.

Complexity of Game
You can teach FITS to ANYONE. It is so simple to understand that it is just not possible to not be able to convey it to anyone who is willing to learn and listen. The scoring mechanism isn’t very complicated either, so that’s a big plus. I hate to have to tally the scores for everyone after every game.
If there’s anything you want to take note of, just tell them that it’s not tetris. You can’t slide the pieces horizontally into gaps. That’s it. I can’t make it any simply than that. That’s how easy it is to teach.

Playing Experience / Fun Factor
The people I have played FITS with so far have all loved it in one way or the other. They love the speed of which each game goes, and how quickly they can start over again. Some love how stupid the game makes them feel sometimes. In fact, each time we play, we have always played at least 2 games in the row. Never one and done.
It does lead to some frustration if you have people who really REALLY want things to look nice and fit well. I have cases of people swearing when out of 4 pieces, the 1 piece they didn’t want had to come out before the other 3. It isn’t always so funny and frustrating but when it does all will just laugh together.
Personally I really enjoy FITS. (I’m not sure if its cos I keep winning). Haha But I love puzzles and I love that you can plan ahead, but not really plan ahead. If you know what I mean. It gives you a very satisfying feeling when you made the right gamble or when you gave enough leeway for mistakes to happen and they do (or will).
And the fact that it sets up fast and plays fast, I will definitely keep it with me for those days where I feel too lazy to teach or set things up.

Replayability
FITS will be played definitely in quick spurts. But I’m not certain how well it will last through time. With only 4 boards, things can get old quick. Especially if it is over played.
I did get the expansion but I have yet to try it out. But really, I wished they released official well produced expansions. It would be something I would buy.
So take note, with the game flowing fast and only lasting 4 stages, you (or your friends) make tire of it fast. I suggest taking it out only to fill the need to game in short spans or when you are too drained to really explain or do logistics work so to speak. I’m not saying that it is only a game worthy to kill unwanted time, but playing it not so regularly makes the game last longer and feel fresher to people.

Variants
N/A.
Overall Rating (not an average of above scores but an overall grade): 8.2 / 10 * I do not score based on an average of the above scores because it may result in a boring game with great components outscoring a pretty average game with average components but one which my friends and I enjoyed a whole lot more.
