Maybe I am missing a step somewhere but I was hoping somebody could clarify this to me.

There are Mosby strength markers in the game with a value of 7,8,and 9.
But I dont see when these ever come into play.

The rules state in the sequence of play that you use the Mosby recruitment table and roll a regular die. "The result is the strength of Mosby's Raiders this turn."

Ok, I assume you dont accumulate strength points,I dont see it written that way anywhere, so whats with the high Strength Pointer markers? How can you get higher than a 6?

I believe this is due to the fact that there are three Random Event cards that will increase Mosby's Raider strength by 1 - Additional troop cards.

So theoretically (however unlikely) that you could be at 6 strength and you can pull all of these cards giving you a total strength of 9.

I have yet to gain strength above 6.
