I just got a used copy of this beautiful version of Clue! Inside the case there is one piece of gold furniture which has come off its place. Does anyone know how I could get the glass off the game without damaging the wooden casing? I'd like to get in there and fix that one piece of furniture. I looked on the bottom and noticed that under the felt pads there appear to be some holes. I was thinking I could peel off the pads and check to see if there was something to unscrew but don't want to start without checking with others. Thanks for any thoughts you may have!

Looks absolutely awesome from the pics I've seen of it.

If you want to fix the set you are at some point going to have to break down and try to open it up.

For the first approach I'd suggest investigating those ports in the bottom to see what they reveal. This way if it is a bust then its in a location that no one will see and can be relatively easily glued back in place.

If the top is glued securely in place though you may find that the whole thing is virtually hermetically sealed. Which will make any sort of effort at non-damaging repairs a nigh Heraclean task.

It's gonna hurt it much to remove a felt pad to check for a screw. It's totally worth looking, anyway. If there's not a screw there, you're only out the cost of a bit of felt to fix it. If there is a screw there, you'll wind up replacing all the felt anyway after you fix the board. Go for it. Carpe Diem!
