I was wondering if the magic walls are working well? To me it seems to be hard to create durable walls that are able to fold without any problem.

I didn't know what to do with my UberBadge, so I left it as a GeekBadge.

I'm interested too. The picture on the back of the box doesn't show the components very well - just cartoon drawings of them.

I've just ordered it, so hopefully be able to give a bit of an update in a week or two.

Am surprised that there hasn't been more info around on the expansion since it seems a cool addition to a cool and fun game.

I'll post some component shots in the next couple of days, but here's a quick overview:

The wands and the potion bottles are cool, nice and durable looking, but still magical and fitting with the theme. I'm a bit meh about the magician's hats, but again they sort of fit with the theme, just feel a little less quality like.

We haven't played with the magic gates yet, but I was quite surprised by them. Basically they're two pieces of wood - similar to one of the walls currently used (a little shorter) - held together with a rubber type tape on one side. The tape allows one of the two pieces to hinge/swing and let the ball pass. If you travel the other way the ends of the two pieces hit and makes a solid barrier.

As I say, we haven't tried them yet, but while I was a bit 'is that it' at first, on reflection they seem a nice, simple yet innovative way to do the job. My only concern will be the durability of the tape.

Pictures will help.

Am I a man or am I a muppet? If I'm a muppet then I'm a very manly muppet!

We're VERY careful with them (as earlier described, the walls look a little flimsy)... but in play, they work like a charm. It adds a nifty new wrinkle to navigating your way through the maze.
