It's a very good day in the alternate reality known as Tannhauser - FFG just announced the impending release of an Equipment Card deck that will cover:

•Tannhäuser base game
•Tannhäuser Operation: Novgorod
•Daedalus Map Supplement
•Reich and Union Trooper Packs
•Single Figure Expansions: Wolf, Yula, Ramirez, Gorgeï, Asteros, Hoax, Hoss, and Oksana
•As well as all crate & bonus tokens!

Well done, FFG!

Wow!
Over 200 cards! surprise

I just ordered some games online, but had to remove some items due to going way over my budget (as usual ).
Now I'm glad I decided to expand on Tannhäuser, although I have hardly played the game. I was so close to dropping the line. But with the FAQ and now the new cards, I'm happy I stuck with the game.

I think that I'm equally excited that such a release (along with the new map set & the multiple single figure packs) indicate that FFG is interested in keeping Tannhauser viable over the long haul.

Played this game for the first time in a long time, and my 7-year-old son nearly fell asleep during the set up. I gave some cargo tokens to randomly place around the map to keep him occupied while his brother read in the book and chose packs for his characters (soooo boring).

Depends on the 7 year old.

Agreed. I play it with my 10 year old. However, Marek (the 10 year old) had a much better attention span at 7 than Miles (the 7 year old) and could have played this game with me then (he played Arkham Horror with me at 6). So it depends on the 7 year old and their development/personalities.

Just to check that I get it right: the ONLY version of the cards is the one according to the new rules? I plan to get those first, so I wouldn't like to get stuck with cards for the old edition.
Thank you and happy holidays

Correct. The cards came out long after FFG switched to the revised ruleset.

The only things out there (except on eBay) should be revised ruleset stuff.
