We broke out BttF for the first time last night and played a couple of games. In the last game, I won with the following combo. It seems legal to me, but very powerful, and I was wondering whether people thought this was a valid play.

(Nobody disputed it during the game, by the way, I'm just curious.)

I started my turn with the Time Train in hand (switch a Lynchpin, then play another card) on account of someone switching all the hands around. I had in play the Almanac Cover and Mr Fusion (as a free action, discard an item from play to draw two cards). I drew a Rewind (retrieve a card from discard pile and play it).

As my standard card, I played the Time Train to flip a Lynchpin.

As my extra card from playing Time Train, I played Rewind to retrieve the Time Train and play it again, flipping another Lynchpin.

As a free action, I discarded the Almanac cover to draw two cards. One of them was another Rewind.

As my extra card from playing Time Train again, I played this second Rewind to retrieve the Time Train once more and play it for a third time.

So I flipped three Lynchpins in one turn, the last of which won me the game. Powerful combo to be sure, but it did depend on me having three powerful cards (the Time Train and two Rewinds). What do you guys think?

Perfectly legal and why the Time Train is so dangerous.

It's a pretty powerful combo. I have won and lost games because of this. The Time Train is usually one of the first cards people go for when we play.

Yep, it's legal

Another way to pull off a similar effect without Rewind is using the Time Train with a Doubleback that you have the item for. You could flip a total of 3 lynchpins and win the game in a single turn.

This game, like a lot of card games, depend on the synergy of certain card combinations. The Time Train is pretty powerful on its own, but it really shines with Rewind, and of course if you have a Memo or 2 in your possession (to cancel other players' memos), you're pretty much unstoppable.
