Hallo everybody.

The rules for depots state that you can take the tickets in a warehouse if you claim a rout that connects to a city with a depot.

But consider this case, instead: during a game session some or all the routes leading to a city are taken. Then, someone puts one of his depots in that city. What happens now? Can he or anybody who claimed a route into that city take over the warehouse? Or is that depot useless if all routes leading to the city have already been claimed? Is it even legit as a move to put a depot in such a spot (maybe just to prevent other players from building a station there)?

I don't see why it wouldn't be legal, and the only purpose would be blocking stations.

It is legal. And yes, it would probably only be played in order to block others from building stations.

If all routes leading to the city in which the depot is placed have already been claimed, then no one can access that depot and gain cards via connecting to that depot (since it's impossible to connect).
