I have a fast question after my first play of this game -
Which comes first, rolling the dice or removing wall(s) to expand your newly-created city into a neighboring city?
I don't have the rules in front of me, but when I was reading them during the game, they seemed to say that both these actions occur immediately after enclosing a city.
TIA for any help!

Your turn begins with placing a Wall. That may or may not complete a city. In either case you continue by rolling dice and placing Houses and Towers. Then scoring (which may include wall removal).
page 2 of the rules has a section "Playing the Game". The four bolded headings within that section are:
- Build a Wall - Roll Dice - Score - Turn End

Thanks, Tomello, that helps. So one should regard the town-incorporation option as part of the scoring step rather than part of the town-completion step.
Thanks for your help!

A variant was proposed here that my girlfriend and I use and have never looked back in case you were interested in adding a Bit more strategy to the game. Just roll the dice before you place the wall. This way, it gives you more options as to where you would like those houses to end up at, instead of it just being a crapshoot.

Thanks! I've only played once so far, so while I'm still learning, I'm ok with the high luck factor. But I can see the appeal of your variant - thanks for mentioning it.
