I may have missed this in the rules, but is it okay to look at the stats on the confrontation side of the Primal God before engaging him in battle? I didn't see anything stating either way. Thanks!

The 2 sides on the Primal God's card aren't to hide the confrontation stats, but to separate dealing with rituals before he is confronted and then the actual confrontation. It would have been confusing (and a bigger card needed) to put both on one side of the card. Thus, there was no intention to hide the confrontation stats. Feel free to peek or memorize.

While not the designer, I can assure you there was no talk of "hiding" the confrontation stats in playtesting. You are meant to know what you are facing as you prepare to fight the Primal God.

Gotcha, that makes sense. I figured that was the answer to this, but I wasn't sure if I was missing some crucial element of surprise about the stats of the Primal God. Thanks for your quick answer! I haven't gotten a chance yet to try this expansion, but I intend on doing so this weekend. Judging by the rules is sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun.

Thanks Ed. Your review was actually a huge reason I pulled the trigger on getting this expansion. So far my only small complaint on this expansion is the cheapo cardboard box insert. The plastic ones were much more functional, but I'm guessing this was a money saving tactic.
