Dear fellow gamers,
Today we played our first game of Schotten-totten (Dutch edition). We encountered a rare occasion where Mud was played on a stone. A couple of turns later one player 1 had 4 cards at this stone, while player 2 had only 3 cards there. However the stone was still not won by either of the two.
Player 2 then wanted to play the Deserter to remove the Mud card from play. This would lead to the strange situation in which player 1 had more then the allowed three cards at the stone. We decided that their where 2 possible solutions. Either ignore the fourth card or don't allow Mud (or Fog) te be (re)moved.
Is their a rule clarification on this issue? The Dutch rules certainly don't give a answer to this strange situation.
Kind regards,
Tjoek

It wouldn't make sense thematically.

No. Environmental (and Guile) tactics cards, once played, remain in their position until the end of the game

Thanks for the reply guys!
Because it wouldn't make sense thematically we concluded while playing the game that it is not possible to move the environmental tactics cards. At least this would prevent the odd situation to occur.
Good to see we made the correct decision.
