Having recently acquired this I set about my first game with a friend and I have to say we loved it. After reading on here we decided to stay away from the battle cards and found the dice worked fine. The game even ended in a win for the republic (me) though there was some insanely hairy moments nearly losing on the anarchy track but only staying afloat due to pompey managing to kill sertorius against all the odds followed by some poor seige rolls by spartacus.

Suffice to say I need another fix but im working away for several weeks and I can only use vassal. If anyone would like to play by email or on vassal live let me know!

Im currently in australia but can get on most of the day and night.
