Hi everyone,

This game doesn't hit the table all that often but its great when it does. But this last weekend we have a very bizzar game overall, and this was played with the mini expansion which made it more interesting.

This game had one new player (5 total) so some things were expected to throw off balance but overall they caught on quicker than anyone i taught before, and didn't add to the oddities of this particular game.

What made this particular game odd was how things flowed and there was no real cutthroat manuvers that were made because of how things lined up.

of the 5 players 4 lapped the board 3 scoring in the mid to high 40s, i was in the low to mid 40s and fifth place had over 30.

at least 3 of the players had over 1500 ducats in persal stash

all guild orders were taken and fulfilled,

all stocks were purchased with minimal selling in game

Jewler split once and ended near spliting again (i was happy i had 7 shares)

Taylor split twice endeding at 60 a share

Miller split once and ended up in the high range also

Blacksmith may have split (i can't remember)

Spice didn't do much of anything most of the game

i though it was crazy how all the money flowed and the stocks kept getting better and better . it was a fun game though i struggled with it due to positioning and strategy, and i'd never seen someone get the game so quickly before

also roles being uses
Carpenter (never used)
dock master
harbor master
guild master
moneylender

Quohog,

You forgot to mention the 4 1/2 to 5 hours of game time. It was a grinding match that I was happy to finish in second place.

congrats again on your almost victory, or would that be a narrow defeat?

well game lenght didn't seem longer than normal due to the situations that were happening. with 5 players 4 hours isn't rare, especially with a new player, explination etc.

I'll be more coherant next time and should hopefully play much better.

The Moneylender may have helped with the high scores?

that is possible but i do belive that the money may have helped with some of the scores because the stock market was almost always in use but a lot of free resources with the dockmaster and harbor master had something to do with it too.
