I never played the game Blokus, but I love Travel Ingenious and Ubongo - The Duel, so I bet I will love Blokus too, but I cannot decide between these two versions:

1. Travel Blokus / Blokus Duo (the same?)
2. Blokus To Go!

I want a portable two-player version of that game that I can take with me when traveling. The Travel version looks better, but also seems a bit bulkier and more costly, whereas the To Go Version seems to be perfect for playing on trains, planes, at the beach etc., but seems to be a bit more fiddly and not so nice to look at.

Can someone please help me with my decision? cool

I've actually had the opportunity to play all 3 of these versions.

Travel and Duo are basically the same version with varying art and slight differences in components. These two are very similar to the components and feel of the full large version of Blokus.

Blokus To Go is an entirely new version with very different components. This version has been redone to allow a large variety of playing opportunities. It has snap in pieces and built in storage compartments. It also has the ability to pack up a game mid way thru and store it to finish at a later time, perhaps in a different place.

Blokus To Go is the version I decided to go with. Fortunately, this version is also the cheapest I've found.

Enjoy.

I have Blokus to go, my wife loves it, but I have a hard time getting the pieces to stick or unstick from the pegs. I'm thinking about buying the other version to see if it's easier to play. It's still a great game though.

The other versions are technically easier to play, but they lack the portability and durability. I find the Blokus to Go to be far superior.

I know I'm late, but just in case anyone else is wondering, I would also recommend Travel Blokus.
