Subject: Dark Tower base piece. Different for different versions? rss

As far as I know, there was only one version of Dark Tower in the U.S.
I just got a complete copy (minus 2 pegs), and one thing I noticed
is that the plastic piece that attaches to the board that becomes the base of the DT itself, does not line up with the holes in the board.
I can "make it fit" but it is obviously wrong as it wants to bow up.

Anyone out there have a similar experience? I did force it (gently) and the alignment actually caused the boards to have gaps out
near where the halves meet.

Any experiences would be helpful....
