This year's April Fool's gag was a lot of fun to put together, and we couldn't be more pleased with how much fun people seemed to have with it.

This post is an annotated list of each of the 89 unique results, in order of number of times found, that came from 139 possible search terms. The list does not include the default Monopoly/D&D/Pokemon returns (depending on if you were on BGG/RPGG/VGG at the time) if you searched for something not on the list.

The reply immediately following this one will be a summary of the timeline of the gag's inception, development, and some notable first-finds.

Anyone who wants to revisit the fun can do so HERE.

monopoly 3272

*** I suspected this would be the next search tried by many who found the scads of Monopoly search results. So we made it a strong hint that there was more to the gag than just the faux-Google front page. 1 of the 10 microbadges available through the Geekdo search.
agricola 2905
microbadge(s) / geekbadge(s) 2764

*** 1 of the 10 microbadges available - if you took the time to copy the code provided...
puerto rico 2351

*** I watched this full video five times in the last 24 hours
arkham horror / MoM / cthulhu 2273

*** Arkham Horror (or just Arkham) lead the pack, accounting for 1279 of these searches
geekgold 2215

*** Aldie's original idea was to have this give 10 - I had visions of breaking records for number of New User accounts registered.
twilight struggle / imperium 2096

*** Twilight Struggle accounted for over 75% of these. A brutal pun devil
dominion 1987
catan 1886
derk 1772

*** Technically a different result from catsuit because of the "Did you mean catsuit?" (I think the answer for many was "No"...and for the rest was "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!")
aldie 1746
pokemon 1495

*** 1 of the 10 microbadges available - the VGG analog to Monopoly
chit chat 1487

*** 1 of the 10 microbadges available
busen memo 1403
power grid 1371
submarine 1353

*** 1 of the 10 microbadges available
geekdo 1287
april fools 1228
bacon 1160
tardis 1112

*** 1 of the 10 microbadges available
i love bgg 1046

*** 1 of the 10 microbadges available
crom 1017

*** 1 of the 10 microbadges available
ticket to ride 978
dungeons and dragons 958

*** Credit to MWChapel for the awesome image
geek 953
ninja 912
pirate 864
thumb 863
small world 844
octavian 746
trololo 703

*** A callback to last year's gag. This was the most popular spelling, with 515 hits. Least popular? trololol with 9. And 3 other acceptable variations in between
zombie 692
4 8 15 16 23 42 686

*** 1 of the 10 microbadges available. I was pleased with how long this one stayed under the radar, which I suspect is the reason it didn't hit 1000+ hits like the other microbadge triggers did
sol / yohanleafheart 675
test 664
lord of the rings 662
help 655
mario 610
zelda 575
rsp 573
grognads 567
d20 535

*** My ode to the tale of the Dread Gazebo
brass 534
dice tower 529

*** For most of the day, James Bond mistakenly also redirected here. What aren't you telling us, Mr. Vasel?
warcraft / wow / leeroy jenkins 486
clue / cluedo 482
catsuit 479

*** 479 of you got to see this twice. Poor souls.
surprise 476

*** Pickle Surprise! (you can blame Sol for this one - but I wish I'd thought of it first.)
life 458
scott nicholson / BGWS 456
goa 453
easter eggs 451
nightfall 446
bob 440

*** Originally intended as an ode to our chaotic evil admin, stargate - it is also an extremely apt choice for the yearly Chit Chat gift exchange.
one million geekgold 386
portal 380
yahoo boots 360
ernie 350
hive 335
rickroll 313
paranoia 297
fail / impossible 296
global thermonuclear war 295

*** This and the LOST numbers were my personal experiment to see how long it would take for some more esoteric terms to get found. Answer - not long at all (see below). Both were inspired by my asking myself "what are iconic phrases typed into a computer from movies or tv"
coke 289

*** The People have spoken. Coke beats Pepsi by 19 votes
minecraft 285
pepsi 270
dakarp 266
wavemotion 249
trivial pursuit 246
attack / hadouken 243

*** Hadouken was found a mere 4 times
all your base / zero wing 239
ban hammer / can't touch this 238

*** Can't Touch This was found only once!
jester 237
cake 230
magic missile / darkness 229
magdar 229
lord 226
it's a trap 208
lunch 182
breakfast 181
dinner 176

*** Another experiment to see what might or might not get found. I assumed if someone found one that the other two would be close behind.
half life 170
the end / over 156
castle / peach / princess 141
james bond 136
witch 113
admin(s) 80
rpggeek 17
mmo 0
*** The only search term that was never found

The final microbadge of the 10 available was the one commemorating this April Fool's experience: mb - given to anybody who found any of the above easter eggs. How many people was that? A whopping 7079 of you!

Thanks to everyone who enjoyed this silly little hunt! Based on how popular it was, I suspect we'll have more easter egg hunt style activities in the future!

There was a time while I was adding some, that people would discover then not even 20 minutes after they were live. A bit insane if you ask me.

Wish I was more creative too, as I was talking with Aldie later tonight after I woke up. I had a few more ideas, but it was too late.
