The game is quite good. But the rulebook is terrible. A lot of information is missing. Trying to play it in a group of experienced players quickly resulted in disputes and chaos.

Here is are some bits which should have been explicitly in the manual. Some come from preceding threads, some I figured out myself. Hopefully correctly.

+ You can mix tiles and one-point-cards to pay for crossed gaps.

+ You may take two cards instead of doing your turn ONLY if you cannot move. But what does this mean? If you have to cross gaps by paying for it, a move is POSSIBLE, It is not possible to declare that you cannot move and take two cards if you just cannot move without crossing a gap (which would be sensible to save the cards at expensive gaps). All this is absolutely unclear in the rules.

+ Contrary to this, you are allowed not to place a bridge and to declare that you cannot move if the bridge would be the only way to make a move.

+ You may only sell ONE tile for cards per turn.

+ When you make a move over an occupied tile by using two cards (one for the occupied tile and one for the final position) you only receive ONE tile: The one next to your final position.

Honestly, that was all pretty clear to me from reading the rulebook. (I did ask the "what if you can't move" question in another post, but only because it didn't come up the first few times I played, then when it did, I missed it on a quick check...)

as an example of clarity, I'm quoting from my copy of the rules:

At the beginning of your turn you may buy new cards by spending one of the tiles you have previously collected.

another example for counter-point:

You may spend previously collected tiles at full value ... In addition, you may spend cards from your hand for 1 point each.
