I've been working on some dirt road tiles recently and wanted to make a scenario that utilized them. Here's a quick four-player scneario. The new road tiles and dust cards should be approved soon.
THE GIST: A small raiding party has set a trap along SH380 near Little Elm. The raiders have destroyed a small bridge, forcing any travellers to make a slow detour through a muddy creek bed - a perfect ambush!
THE TEAMS: The Raider team consists of a Raider and a Renegade. The unsuspecting Outrider team consists of a Trailblazer and a Tailgunner
SETUP: Setup a play area approx. 48x24. see the image below, to see how to arrange the Roadblock game compents for this variant. This scenario uses new the new dirt road tiles (see the files section for an updated road tiles file).
VICTORY CONDITIONS:
The Outrider team must get both of their vehicles past the far end of the map, merging and exiting via the highway. The Raiders are only interested in destroying and looting both Outrider vehicles.
Road rules - any actions made completely on the paved surface are treated as normal
Off road rules - There are now TWO levels of off-raod terrain. The dirt-covered road tiles represent the muddy creek bed. Any maneuver that begins, ends or passes through one of these muddy tiles will marked with a (+1) moderate hazard token. No Dust will kick up, as the creek bed is muddy. Any maneuver that begins, ends or passes through any area outside any terrain tile is marked with a moderate (+2) severe hazard token and the vehilce will be trailed by a dust card (see the Outrider images for this card). Any shot that draws line of site through this dust cloud will grant the defender a +1 defense bonus.
Structures - The Roadblock tiles represent what remains of the original bridge supports. These structures completely block line of sight and cannot be fired through. They also cannot be damaged by attacks. Colliding with a bridge support will automatically cause 1 point of damage to a vehicle and immediately stop it dead in its tracks (no rolling required).
Exit route - The far end is not protected by a road block, but the exiting Outriders will still need to make a severe (+2) difficulty manevuer to exit the map, as the raiders have littered the freeway with bridge debris, making it difficult to merge back onto the paved highway
