I'm debating as to whether to get the Goodies or not. I really want the meeples, and the boards seem kinda cool, but the decks don't sound all that interesting. Should I just buy the meeples and not worry about it? Thanks for your opinion.

Only you can judge if it is worth it for you. The actual game play impact is minimal, however you may find that the game is more immersive (especially for new players) with the meeples.

I bought the Mayday animals and stickered all the other resources, yet I still lust after the boards, the decks and the farmer stickers such is my Agricola desire. But I haven't pulled the trigger yet. So currently, my fiscally responsible self is winning over the Agricola lover.

If price isn't a concern and you would like better bits for your game then it's worth it.

I semi-regret getting it.

Honestly the boards and farmer stickers don't do squat for me. The X and CZ decks seem okay, I don't really care for the more "jokey" ones. As much as I love the vegi- and ani-meeples, they broke my Plano system and I'm back to using bags which are a lot less organized.

This expansion is the best example of YMMV (your mileage may vary) I've encountered. Guess you can always trade/sell what you don't want out of it.

From the sounds of it, I think I'd rather just save my money and Buy Farmers of the Moor or another game. We'll see.

I can always buy the meeples elsewhere.

Exactly, for the same amount of money you can get an entire new game...not just an aesthetic upgrade.

Take it from me, I bought it MSRP from my FLGS. Good for him, not for me shake

Boardgamerevolution has this as their deal of the day for $30. Not sure if this is todays deal, or yesterdays deal.

See this thread for more info.

I agree with Chris -- only you can say whether something is worth the money you spend for it. My personal feeling is that it was well worth it.

I bought the Mayday animeeples, and then the Goodies. The Mayday meeples are quite expensive; by the time you buy all of the ones you get with the Goodies, you've spent as much (or more) as you do for the Goodies expansion. Personally, I like the resource-eeples that come with Goodies MUCH better, and I like the finish on all of the meeples better as well.

So. You get cooler meeples, some new cards (granted, some of these are strictly "novelty" ones, but still fun), and some new boards all for the price of buying just the Mayday meeples.

Yes, I'm biased, but it's all about fun, right?
