For a quick solo game of Ricochet Robots, every round flip over a chip and the timer simultaneously. If you figure out a solution before the timer runs out, take a chip. If you don't, discard the chip into a separate pile. When all chips have been used, count the chips in your pile compared to the discard pile. If you have more chips than the discard YOU WIN!

I was itching for some robot action, so I decided to give your variant a try. It works really well. I had a very tense game against myself. It came down to the wire 8 points won, 8 points lost. Everything rested on that final point. I pulled it off and was surprised to find it was nearly as rewarding as playing the game against other players. I was so into it by the end that I was shouting my number aloud (alone in my living room) as though someone could hear me.
