Or have a collector streak in me or something. I own the third edition, then bought a second-edition copy to see what it looked like. Then, even before receiving the latter, I made an eBay bid on the first edition and ended up winning that.

Good work with the collecting!
You might want another copy that you keep in the trunk of your car. Just in case.

I'll let you know when the 1st and 2nd editions arrive in the mail. So far, I've only seen the 3rd.

According to the living rules for AHD, there are a couple errors on the 3rd-edition mapboard (even after applying the two stickers shipped with the game). The earlier editions of the game are supposedly free of those errors, and that makes them a little more appealing to me.

Also, the 3rd edition is pretty big, with extra-large unit-counters. I might prefer something more compact. We'll see.

I wasn't expecting to get the 1st edition. The opening bid (on eBay) was 99 cents, so I bid that and forgot about it. A few days later, I was surprised to be informed that I had won the auction. It would've been a great deal if I hadn't had to pay $10 postage.
