Probably this has been addressed, but I couldn't find it anywhere:

Some heroes give a -1 discount per build type which does not stack with any other discounts. Does the reduced cost of Greek and Atlantian triremes and Roman legions stack with this discount, or not? So for example, if Greece has Minos, which gives a discount on -1 per type on islands: would the first trireme per turn built on an island by a Greek player with Minos cost 1 card? My guess is yes, as the reduced cost is not given as a discount per type, but is simply a different cost.

Thanks in advance!

Going by the card text it looks that way, but actually, no. Atlas, Caesar and Pericles are included in the "not cumulative" list:
rules pg. 8 wrote:
Although several hero and wonder cards grant a reduced cost to build various things (Caesar, Pericles, Atlas, Mausoleum, Croesus, Minos, Spartacus, and Imhotep), these reductions are not cumulative; the player simply takes the single best reduction available.

Stated here as well:
rules pg. 12 wrote:
If the Roman player chooses the Mausoleum, does the Roman pay only 1 tax or 1 resource for Legions?
No, the Mausoleum bonus only applies to “influence markers and buildings”, not to military units or Heroes & Wonders (cities and caravans cost 2 instead of 3, temples and markets cost 5 instead of 6). Moreover, at no time in the game are these kind of reduced cost bonuses cumulative. Simply take the highest bonus available to a player when there is duplication.

The rules pdf helps with finding this sort of thing as you can search for a name and see every mention of it.

Thanks! I looked in the rules, but they're not terribly well organized and sometimes contradict themselves.

Got another question on that: Could "build type" also be interpreted as what kind of object you want to build?
a) Hero/Wonder
b) Military Unit
c) Building
d) Influence Marker

Interesting... it's possible, but I'd say unlikely. I was going to point out the Croesus example on pg 15, but that shows a discount on 1 caravan (building) and 1 legion (military) so that doesn't help.

The rules are unclear on certain points and there are translation errors, but still, if build type was meant to refer to those specific groupings, I think it would have been mentioned more prominently. "Type" only appears 3 times... explaining Croesus, Minos and the build chart on pg. 7 which doesn't imply any sort of grouping.

My 2 cents!
