question regarding the 5 tokens. Do you replenish your 5 when there all gone or place one on the board and replace it immediately with one from the supply?

Immediately, with the caveat that if you use any of the tokens with the "character" on them to play more than one tile on your turn, you wait 'til the end of your turn to replenish your hand rather than drawing replacements for each tile as you go.

you replace at the end of your turn after you've made all the placements you will be making that round.
