We are going to start this off with the first general on this post and he is P.C. Scipio Nasica, who ironically suggested that Rome save Carthage instead of destroying it as he thought it would help to prevent the deterioration of Roman morals and discipline.
Special Ability: If on unfriendly Tribe, inflicts Subjugation Points equal to CUs lost during the Winter Attrition phase.

Re: Hamilcar Previews
This is the second of 7 new generals that are included in the new release of Hamilcar that can be used in the original game Hannibal: Rome vs Carthage.
He is Marcus Livius Salinator.
In 207 BC during the Second Punic War he was again elected consul (supposedly against his wishes) with Gaius Claudius Nero. Arriving in Narni, Livius attempted to block the advance of the Carthaginian army invading the Italian peninsula. Encountering Carthaginians near Fanum in the spring of 207 BC, Livius, reinforced by the army of his colleague Nero, defeated the Carthaginians in the decisive Battle of the Metaurus, killing their commander Hasdrubal, the brother of Hannibal.
Special Ability: Has a Strategy Rating of 2 when in Italy

Re: Hamilcar Previews
Can you give us an insight on what the + mark between their Strategy Rating and Battle rating means? Does it just denote they are expansion generals so you can switch between original Hannibal / expanded base game easily?

Re: Hamilcar Previews
Here is the third of 7 new generals that are included in the new release of Hamilcar that can be used in the original game Hannibal: Rome vs Carthage.
He is P.Licinius Crassus
Licinius Crassus is perhaps best known for his refusal to leave Italy (as Fabius Maximus wanted) which allowed his co-consul Scipio to take Sicily as his province and eventually invade Africa.
Special Ability: May command a Consular Army containing less than 5 CUs. May NOT leave Italy.

Re: Hamilcar Previews
Sorry, hadn't been paying attention. Here is number 4:
Here is the 4th of 7 new Generals released in the expansion of Hannibal: Rome vs Carthage, Hamilcar.
He is Quintus Fulvius Flaccus
Special Ability: Received on extra BC when fighting a battle outside of a Walled City
Fulvius Flaccus was Consul again 212 BC, fighting the Second Punic War, he was defeated by Hannibal at the first Battle of Capua, then won a victory over Hanno the Elder, capturing his camp at Beneventum, then captured Capua in 211 BC while serving as proconsul. In his fourth term as consul, (209 BC) he retook Lucania and Bruttium. He opposed the African expedition of Scipio Africanus Major in 205 BC, and died sometime not long thereafter.

Oh, and are you intentionally showing us the back side of the generals as a "general" tease?

Re: Hamilcar Previews
Might be good to clarify-- and avoid others being confused as I was at first-- the list of contents for this games shows X# of generals FOR THE FIRST PUNIC WAR and then 7 MORE generals that can be added to the 2nd Punic War. This appears to be the list of the latter.
I was thinking these were 1st Punic War generals and you were telling us they all could be added to the 2nd Punic War.
While I'm here, it appears that the 'back side' of this 1st Punic War map is a "remake" of the entire map from the first game (presumably with the couple small glitches fixed). Is that correct?

Re: Hamilcar Previews
Well, I just typed out a response but since you deleted the original post, it went bye bye as well.
These generals are just the mix that are added to the 2nd Punic Wars (base game). You can optional add them into the mix for more variety on your consular selection. These are not the ones to be used for the 1st Punic War as that is a completely different set of Roman (and new Carthaginian) generals. The only preview plan I am aware of is just on these generals at this time.
As to the board, the one side is a "revised" board to the original game. The major change is just adding all of these abilities to the board for reference, next to the original roman generals. The other minor changes are just cosmetic.
The other side is the "new" board for the new scenario: first punic war. It is the original map revised for the new set-up. I'll comment more if Valley gives me permission to comment more.

Sorry for the uncertainty.

The newest General to be revealed for the upcoming Hamilcar release is
T. Quinctius Crispinus
T. Quinctius Crispinus was co-consul with Marcellus in 208. Both of them faced an ambush by Hannibal in which the great Marcellus lost his life and Crispinus barely escaped severely wounded. While not known for being a cunning strategist Crispinus was fondly remembered by the Romans when, after the disastrous battle, he had the foresight to send warning to the town of Salapia that Hannibal might attempt to use the lost seal ring of Marcellus in an act of treachery. Hannibal did in fact attempt to do so. Salapia accepted a force of 600 of Hannibal’s troops bearing the seal of Marcellus behind it’s walls and then set upon them killing them to a man. Hannibal was not in the host, but the result limited the gains of his previous victory. Crispinus died of his wounds shortly after at Capua.
Special Ability: Remove one less PC as a result of Political Consequences after defeat as Consul

Valley Games works in mysterious ways. They announce a project publicly and then we hear nothing from them for a few months/years and then there is an announcement and then we wait some more and then that cycle gets repeated a few times before the project is announced as stuck in customs.
Odd, but so far it has been worth the wait (in my opinion based on the wargames of theirs I have played).

The expansion marks are in a really awkward location. Why not a bottom corner(raised a little to account for the holder)?

Using a mathematical symbol between two numbers leads to confusion. A more distinguishing symbol in the same location would work, as would a lower corner.
