I'm kind of bouncing between this and Navegador. Navegador is known for its multiple paths to victory. What about Endeavor? I haven't been able to really surmise that answer after reading a bunch of reviews.

The only way to win Endeavor is to score the most points. There are different ways to go about this, but for the most part you want to advance your tracks and build/connect cities.

The game will play differently every time because of the way the chits get laid out on the map - that's one of the things I really enjoy about Endeavor.

And your approach must vary according to your initial and changing place in the player order over the seven turns.

You don't have to do everything.
I played this Saturday and won with only two pieces on the board, outside of shipping pieces.

Yes there are. Check out my session report here...

This is one of the reasons Endeavor is my favourite game.

I'm surprised to hear you say Navegador is 'known' for it's multiple paths to victory. It's certainly not the first that springs to mind. Regardless of that, Endeavor has multiple paths to victory in a fairly similar way, I think the decider would be whether or not you enjoy the restriction imposed by a rondel or not.

One of the things about Endeavor is that you build up your own set of actions throughout the game that will more than likely be quite different to another players. There are lots of different builds, and almost any of them can win if you play them well. I'm not sure I would call this multiple paths to victory, though that was a design goal at the beginning.

While I thought Navegador was a cool game I wouldn't have thought it had multiple paths to victory. Strategy-wise you are forced to invest in two types and do your best with them. Some combinations are better than others. While the various actions associated with these types are different and might give the illusion of multiple paths ultimately what you are doing and how you are achieving victory is pretty similar.

Both games are quite different. Despite a similar theme, they don't really share that much in common. They are both quite tactical, however Navegador will not reward a player who changes strategy part way through while your basic strategy can evolve more fluidly in Endeavor.

Having played both, I prefer Navegador and considered it to have a bit more strategy. The right choice to make for maximum points is usually pretty obvious in both games, but I found Navegador to be just a little bit more varied than Endeavor. I also preferred the style of Navegador, but I often enjoy games with rondels

Both are good games. Currently Endeavor is harder to find, being out of print and all, so take that into consideration.
