when my children were young we had "connect four" followed up by a game whose name I do not remember. to describe it had a plastic base with a moat all around the edges to hold the dark and light wooden balls with holes thru then. the playing field was 16 steel pins upright in a 4 X 4 square. it was a three dimensional connect four with the ball being the checkers. I can not remember the name of this game and I would like to purchase same for my grandkids. any ideas and where to purchase

It's called Score Four
There is one for sale in the marketplace and you can pick them up on ebay. I don't know of anyone that currently produces the game.

Sounds like the user is remembering the same game, but one that looked more like mine:

If you get one on the marketplace or on Ebay, I personally like the older ones with metal posts rather than the newer ones with plastic posts. Less likely to be bent or broken.

Hi! I think we have the game you're looking for. It's called Captain's Mistress. Does that sound familiar? The pieces are black and white balls, but they are just regular glass balls and the "uprights" are simply verticals tracks that the balls roll down. I hope that helps! It's a really old game!
