I was wondering if anyone has either combined two base games or the base with two expansion so as to play with six (or more) players. For those who play with four or five players, would this work or would it just slow down the game?
Thanks for any insight.

I don't see why not.
It's not exactly a tightly crafted strategy game. :-) With five I never really felt that the up-burner rolls came too often or that the coffee cups were running out too fast so I suspect there's room for a sixth.

And if you run out of coffee cups and you roll another one, you can steal one from another player.
The only issue I see is the potential to run out of recipes.

Played it tonight with 6. Recipies were a potential issue but I found in the rules that if you can't draw a different color, you can take any color you like. However, with the crepe and the salt dishes, most players were able to get 4 different recipies without an issue. We only used one shaker from the expansion with the multi-spices and we never even came close to running out of coffee cups. Next time however I will reduce the number of cups in the game as we used all those from both expansions. We didn't play with the card variant though it was still fun.

Well the only problem I would say is playing with more and more, is the downtime that occurs between the players turns.
