I also did a new cover for the rulebooklet. I'll share the pictures and ideas. Now I'm thinking how draw the card for items. I'm thinkin in tables with dices, but nothing until now. I hope for comments and suggestions.
Here is some pictures: Box

I'm making changes now and probably i'll add the key there

Is this a remake of the Dungeon in my Pocket that I designed years ago? The mighty Chainsaw of Doom looks familiar. The cards look cool. I had been thinking about redisigning the cards myself. Guess I don't have to now.
Glad someone liked it enough to give it some polish. Would you mind sending me the files you are working on? I'd like to see them.
*edit*
Sorry. I missed the link in the last post. Looks cool. There are a couple typos in the dev cards though. A really bad one in the first dev card b page. Also, on the new cover you made for the manual, it says "Varian" instead of Variant.
Looking over this makes me realize I had a few unfinished ideas for Dimp that I don't think I fully worked in. Like the disarm trap scroll and the rope. I think the rope was meant to also bypass a bottomless pit trap that was supposed to be instant death. I also originally intended the player to be able to hold 1 weapon plus two items.
Wish I would have come up with something more interesting for the end game instead of just recycling the Zimp method. I may still come back to it and make a few new adjustments. The dungeon tiles need to be remade too. I just kinda slapped them together and they came out so incoherent.
Also wanted to add a couple more interesting enemies/items to replace the old ones. I know I wanted to put a "Zomby Woof" in there somewhere.
ps, anyone notice the referneces I snuck into the cards? THere's at least one really vague one that I'm wondering if anyone got.

Thanks. I don't even know what a psd is though. I just used word and ms paint to make the original. I don't have any graphic software or the know how to use it.

I don't have photoshop unfortunately. I have been looking into some of the free graphics programs, but haven't actually gotten around to trying them out yet though.
Sure, it would be cool to work together on a redesign. I should have some time next week to look over the original files and work on some little tweaks to the game and come up with a mechanic for the final battle. I was also thinking about maybe adding one more sheet of dev cards and one more sheet of tiles. That way a few more interesting items, monsters, traps, and events could be added. Do you think this would be too much?
Btw, have you seen/tried out my original game, "Damnit Dungeons?" I haven't submitted it to the geek yet but it's been around on the forums for a while. It predates Dimp and Zimp. Plays quite differently too. It also has a solo variant and is like a take on battleship. I've been thinking about redesigning the game sheets. Maybe you could take a look?

I looked up Damnit Dungeons and found this forum thread.
Damnit Dungeons Unfortunately, all of the links are dead, including the latest one. The links to all other games other than Shire are dead too. Are there updated links available?
Thanks!

Here's the download link for Damnit Dungeons plus the little solo expansion. I'm particularly proud of the solo mechanics. The game sheets need some redesigning to look better since I did everything with just ms paint (painstakingly so) and I would like to give the characters and items a bit more flavor so they are not so bland typical generic fantasy. I had always planned on making more expansions to spice up gameplay and add some more traps and goals to the game. But lack of time hindered that. I would like to get back to it sometime soon.

Here's the Link for Mortuum. This never got fully finished. It's very playable though. The simple game sheet was done by a fellow bg're that unfortunately I cannot remember. The game still needs some polish and I never got to implement wall obstacles into the game. It's still a pretty fun solo game.

You can find my card game "Shrine" on www.Pagat.com
All games are printer friendly and need very little to print. Let me know what you think.
I still have a couple other game ideas kicking around and getting worked on from time to time like Dark Valhalla which is a solo dark fantasy/norse/lovecraft/Quake inspired adventure. And Slaughter Hockey which is a solo fantasy hockey sports game which will hopefully be two player too.
p.s. The game is called "Damnit Dungeons" because I was having trouble coming up with a name for it that didn't sound like a typical dungeon crawl cliche. On the top of my design notes I wrote, "Come up with a name damnit!" So I finally thought to use Damnit Dungeons as the name. Unfortunately, it's not a very kid friendly name although it is a kid friendly game. "Darnit" just doesn't have the same ring to it though. lol
P.P.S. "I bid you welcome" on the front of the DiMP manual came from the W.A.S.P. song, Inside the Electric Circus. I should add a chainsaw codpiece into the game in honor. lol
