Just wondering with two players it seems like you need more than two fighters. In general though how many fighters do you use in your games? Also do you generally use random or determined order. Also do you guys just randomly pick characters or draft them, and if draft exactly how?

It really depends upon the game and the number of people playing. When my son and I play by ourselves, we usually each play 1 hero of our choice. We roll all of the dice and then take the "rolled up" character and stand it up to fight. When we play with a group of 3 or more players, we each pick 1 to 3 fighters each, depending upon how long we have/want to play.

When we pick characters, if 2 people pick the same character, they must "roll off". Both players roll up characters and the strongest one wins; the other player must choose another fighter to use. We don't run into this much though, coz we all got our own sets and favorites.

When I introduce the game to new players, or when playing in a large group game, I usually play with two fighters per player. A good two player game uses three fighters per player, but I think two or three fighters is really the sweet spot for any number of players. It really all depends on how long you want the game to last I suppose.
