Academy Games is proud to present you with their latest game, Strike of the Eagle, and to celebrate has put together a special BGG scenario! This scenario gives you an opportunity to learn the game as you play, as well as a shot at a free copy of the game for completing the walk through. You will be offered choices as you play through an Operational Phase of the game, with some choices being better than others. You will be scored according to how good your decisions are as a commander! Good luck!
Contest Rules You will be scored 1-3 points per choice you make, with a maximum of 18 points possible. You will receive entries in the contest as follows: 6-8 score = 1 entry 9-11 score = 2 entries 12-15 score = 4 entries 16-18 score = 6 entries
The contest will be open until the end of the day on Sunday, July 3rd. Winners will be announced as soon as possible thereafter (it might be a little later than usual due to the July 4th holiday).

You need to answer the question on the bottom of page 3 to continue through the contest. It worked fine with IE8.
Thanks for the contest.

14/18 - a few of those are tricky, not having played that system.

I like this one--a clever way to learn about the game, even though I didn't get a perfect score like I usually did with the "answer trivia questions about the rulebook" ones.

Seconded. I might have looked into this game more if it was the usual contest style, as I've been looking into block games in general, but this "demo" definitely put this game firmly on my radar. I'd love to see more like this!
15/18 thanks to a poor early decision. So close to 6 entries!

Really fun contest! I liked how it explained things as it went along. Probably the most fun contest I've seen on BGG. Thanks!

Great contest, not a great score (11/18.) Made a couple of early mistakes.

I liked that contest - a good way to demonstrate the game, and give you a taste as to whether you'd like playing it.

I did really rubbish on this-- I'm not going to share my score, that's how bad I did-- but in doing so, I learned something about the game, and how to play it well. I liked that a lot. Not as much, you know, as I would like to have done better at it, but still enough that I thought I'd comment on it here.

My favourite competition yet on BGG. Much more interactive than the normal "read the rulebook" fare, I learned quite a bit about the system, particularly on how diceless combat is handled, but also on the importance of maneouvre (and more importantly out-maneouvre) and deception. Good stuff.

12 out of 18... not bad for having little idea of what I was doing.
