Subject: Star on citys rules question

I have noticed that around 1/3 the cites in the game have a little star in the center of the city instead of a dot. Does this mean anything game wise. I have read though the rules and didn't notice anything about it. I have the 4th edition of euro rails and i'm not sure if this was in previous version or not.

I imagine it's because they're capital cities. They have no effect on game play.

They are the capital cities, and indeed is does not affect game play
