I've had the German version of this game for many years but have never played it.
We're off on holidays with another family next week for two weeks and thought it would be ideal to play take to play with them.
BUT... I don't have English rules! And none are held in the files area.
Are they simple enough to explain here? Or could someone upload them (if that's legal?)
Thanks loads

I don't think they'll take much explaining.

Give out 11 chips each. Deal nine cards face-down back into the box - they don't get used. Place the rest of the deck face up.
On your turn, you can either take the card on top of the deck, or put a chip on it. When you take the card, you additionally take all the chips that have been placed on it and place the card in front of you, face up. Keep sequences (eg. 19-20-21) in order. Play passes on clockwise until all the cards have been taken.
To score, add up the cards you have got, but continuous unbroken sequences score the lowest card only (so if you have a run of 19-20-21 then you just score 19). Subtract the number of chips you have remaining. Lowest score wins!

Yes.
Chips are good. You want to keep chips. Cards are bad. You do not want to get cards. Score is like golf in that the lowest score wins.
When it is your turn you can do one of two things. You can put one of your chips on the card in order to pass your turn to the next player. Or you can take the card and all the chips that have been placed on it so far. (And if you take, you get first choice on the next card turned over.)
Everyone starts with 11 chips. 9 cards are removed before play and nobody knows what they are.
At the end of the game when counting score, cards that are in a 'run' only count points for the lowest card in the run. For example, if you have 21, 22, 24, and 25 then only the 21 and the 25 count toward your score, not the 22 or 25. If you can somehow get the 23 then only the 21 counts, not the 22, 23, 24, or 25. Each chip is worth negative one point. In other words, chips 'cancel' one point worth of cards. Remember that lowest score wins.
Thats it as far as rules go. Now obviously staking about strategies and tactics there is a lot more to say. But I find its better to let players discover that stuff through the course of play.

Just a few nit picks:
In Ben's summary -- You actually put the deck face down, and I'd add that if you take the card (and any chips) you then turn over the next one and make the first choice on that one. Face up would work if you're real careful not to disturb the pile, but the rules say face down.
In Jack's summary -- In his first example he meant only the 21 and the 24 would count toward your total.
It's a great game! Definitely our favorite quick filler.

This sounds like a very simple but very fun game. Thanks for explaining it here guys. I just printed out a PnP version and we are going to try it today. There are a few differences between the one I printed and the version at the website. The cards go from 1 to 35 instead of 3. Also, there is a ?! card in the deck. Was that just filler to fill it out to 36 cards or is there some function for a wild card of some kind?
